The owners of the Hotel Los Principes describe the hotel as 'Straight Friendly' and was refurbished in 2005 offering guests the possibility of the well deserved relaxation and enjoyment. The hotel is centrally located in the Old Town of Puerto de la Cruz, in the middle of a pedestrian zone and in very close proximity to gay friendly zone and near to the Lago Martianez. This series of seawater pools conceived by the Canary artist Cesar Manrique forms an extraordinary spot for bathing and resting in the sun. Harmonising his architecture with the exotic vegetation of the volcanic coast Manrique created his most beautiful project.
As well as being close to the gay scene in town, this hotel boasts great facilities too. There are 35 luxury rooms here comprising of 6 very comfortable singles, 20 large double rooms and 9 sumptuousness suites. All rooms and suites are equipped with shower/bath tub, phone, television, satellite TV with gay/lesbian channels as well as a safe. Most of them also have either a balcony or terrace. Also, and only available to hotel guests, the hotel offers two sun decks (one of them clothing optional) and a heated roof top swimming pool with a bar and superb views of the town and mountainous countryside in the distance. The bar is modern and upbeat and like the restaurant, which serves a full traditional and European menu, popular with the Lesbian and Gay community. What's more, the pools of Lago Martianez and the beaches of Puerto de la Cruz are only 300 meters away. All in all highly recommended.
