There are many places where you can access the internet, but if you are in Playa del Ingles and want to browse in comfort (and in the knowledge that no one is going to be bothered about you looking at gay content) Punto Net is a smart gay internet cafe on the Avenida de Tirajana.
It's got all the facilities you'd expect for browsing, chatting (including webcams), printing, downloading and disk burning. Plus you can re-charge your mp3 player, and there's wi-fi access if you want to bring your laptop.
As well as net access, Punto Net has exhibitions of contemporary art and a selection of books, jewellery and clothing for sale. The cafe serves coffee and other soft drinks.
You can find it on the lower floor of the Apartamentos Aloe, on the Avenida de Tirajana opposite the Rey Carlos Hotel (not far from the CITA Centre and Los Almendros) in Playa del Inglés. It's open 10:30 -14.30 and 16:00 - 20:00 Monday to Saturday, and from 16:30 - 20:00 on Sundays.
Internet access costs 1€ for 15 minutes, but you can buy a range of prepaid cards which cut the cost considerably. Plus you can call landline telephones in 33 countries for just the cost of your internet access.
Open:
Monday to Saturday
10:30 - 14:30 and 16:00 - 20:00; Sundays 16:30 - 20:00
