Our lunch is at a local Chinese restaurant.

Merlion Park is a popular spot for great views of Marina Bay and a picture-taking opportunity with the Merlion, a mythological creature that is part lion and part fish. We visit Little India in Old Singapore to see the lively trading community. Kampong Glam is a Malay enclave with a blend of history, culture and a super-trendy lifestyle. Trip Notes

Entry Requirements
For citizens of the United States and Canada, a valid passport is all you will need for entry to Singapore and Bali. Be sure to check entry requirements for any countries you decide to visit in transit.

Immunizations & Health
No immunizations are required, but the CDC advises a basic vaccination series prior to traveling to Bali.

Exit Requirements
Departure taxes will be included in the cost of your airline ticket, so no additional charges are expected at the airport.

Making Travel Arrangements to Singapore
On this tour, international airfare is not included. You will need to get your international air to Singapore (airport code SIN), and returning from Denpasar, Bali (code DPS), back to your home.
The international flight from Singapore to Ubud and two domestic flights within Indonesia are included in the price of this trip. Please arrive in Singapore no later than 4 pm on Thursday, June 25, 2020. Early morning departure is from Denpasar on Sunday, July 5, 2020.

What to Bring
In June and July, average daily temperatures in Singapore will be warm and sticky with daily temperatures ranging from 75 to 88 degrees, but also with high humidity. On Bali, the temperature range will be relatively the same, but with less humidity and ocean breezes cooling off the island. You won’t need a suit jacket or tie, as the tour is informal and dinner attire will be casual, but you will want nice casual outfits for dinners. Try to pack light and bring only one piece of luggage plus your carry-on. Create mix and match outfits, and think about layering! Pack any medications you require in a carry-on bag and leave expensive jewelry at home.

Money Matters
Singapore’s currency is the Singapore dollar (SGD, known on the street as the "sing-dollar"). Paper notes are denominated in $2, $5, $10, and $50 (less commonly seen are $100, $500, $1,000 and $10,000 bills). Coins come in 5 cents, 10 cents, 20 cents, 50 cents and $1 denominations.
Bali’s currency is the colorful Indonesian rupiah (IDR, pronounced "rue-pee-ah"). Prices are typically written with the abbreviation before the amount (e.g., Rp 10.000, or in some instances, Rp 10K).

Tipping in Singapore
Tipping is not customary in Singapore. You don't need to worry about paying tip for using any services in Singapore. However, there may be times that you want to reward a waiter or bellhop for providing excellent service. Most restaurants in Singapore add a 10% service charge to the bill so a tip is not expected.

Tipping in Bali
Many resorts already include a tax for tipping, so check your receipts. Waiters do appreciate a little extra if you do decide, especially if you think he/she has done an exceptional job. Depending on the level of service provided you can choose to give a 5% to 10% tip of the total bill, which is normal in Bali. We will offer group tips to drivers and guides and more information regarding this will be provided prior to departure.
