Day 1 - Wednesday, May 8, 2019
Arrive in London, UK
England Gay Tour - LondonArrive at Heathrow Airport. Transfer on your own to the hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure. This evening meet with your guide and the rest of group for a Welcome Dinner. Overnight in London.

Day 2 - Thursday, May 9, 2019
London | Windsor Castle | Oxford | Cheltenham
England Gay Tour - Windsor CastleAfter breakfast, drive to Windsor Castle, the largest inhabited castle in the world. The tour will include visits to the State Apartments, St George’s Chapel as well as an opportunity to explore the historic town of Windsor itself.

Continue on to Oxford for a walking tour of this ancient university town including a visit to Christchurch. Christchurch is the essential place to visit in Oxford. Two of its famous landmarks, Tom Tower, by Christopher Wren, and Oxford’s Cathedral spire, contribute to the city’s celebrated skyline. Many famous writers and poets are also associated with the college including Lewis Carroll, W.H Auden and John Locke.

Continue to Cheltenham and check into your hotel.

Day 3 - Friday, May 10, 2019
Stonehenge & Lacock
England gay tour - StonehengeToday we will drive to Stonehenge the ancient pre-historic monument whose function even to this day is shrouded in mystery.

Continue to Lacock where you will enjoy afternoon tea followed by some time at leisure.

In the afternoon return to our hotel in Cheltenham.

Day 4 - Saturday, May 11, 2019
Bath & Bibury
England Gay Tour - BathToday travel to the World Heritage city of Bath, one of England’s most attractive cities. On arrival, there will be a guided walking tour of Bath including the Roman Baths and Bath Abbey.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

After Lunch return to Cheltenham via the village of Bibury in the Cotswold.

Day 5 - Sunday, May 12, 2019
Stratford-Upon-Avon to Peak District
England Gay Tour - Stratford-Upon-AvonBreakfast at the hotel. Continue this morning to Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare. A guided tour will include a visit to the Birthplace, Anne Hathaway’s cottage and Trinity Church where Shakespeare is buried.

Continue to Peak District and check in to our hotel.

Day 6 - Monday, May 13, 2019
Peak District
England gay tour - Chatsworth HouseExcursion to the Peak District including a visit to Chatsworth House, home of the Dukes of Devonshire, with wonderful collections of art, furniture and other treasures. Joseph Paxton, famous head gardener in the 19th century, created the gigantic rock garden, the enormous gravity-fed Emperor fountain, the beautiful Pinetum and glasshouses. The famous waterworks include the twenty-four steps of the 300 year old Cascade, falling 200 yards down the hill, the magic of water shooting from the branches of the willow tree fountain, and the trough waterfall. As well as the huge maze, and the rose, cottage and kitchen gardens, there is a new sensory garden.

Return to Chester via Biddulph Grange, an amazing Victorian garden created by Darwin contemporary James Bateman as an extension of his beliefs and scientific interests. His plant collection comes from all over the world – a visit takes you on a global journey from an Italian terrace to an Egyptian pyramid, via a Himalayan glen and Chinese-inspired garden. Discover the fabulous collection of rhododendrons, dahlia walk and oldest surviving golden larch in Britain, brought from China by the great plant hunter Robert Fortune.

Day 8 - Wednesday, May 15, 2019
Yorkshire
England gay tour - Castle HowardDepart the hotel today with a visit included to Castle Howard, home to the Howard family for over 300 years. You will travel via the town of Whitby, split down the middle by the mouth of the River Esk, on one side a busy commercial and fishing port. On the other a traditional seaside resort. Castle Howard is a magnificent 18th century residence set within 1,000 acres of breath-taking landscape in the Howardian Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the heart of North Yorkshire.

Continue to the seaside town of Whitby for time at leisure.

Visit Whitby Abbey. Lunch at a local restaurant and return to York

From York to Cambridge via Sandringham

Sandringham is the much-loved country retreat of Her Majesty The Queen and has been the private home of four generations of British monarchs since 1862. The house, set in 24 hectares of stunning gardens, is perhaps the most famous stately home in Norfolk and is at the heart of the 8,000-hectare Sandringham Estate, 240 hectares of which make up the woodland and heath of the Country Park.

England gay tour - Raby CastleThis morning tour to Wordsworth’s Cottage and Hill Top former home of Beatrix Potter. Depart Windermere this morning and journey across the Pennines to Durham to the north east region of England.

En route there will be a stop a visit to Raby Castle, the home of Lord Barnard and one of the finest medieval castles in England, Raby Castle has been in the Vane family since 1626, but its history spans over 600 years. Set in the heart of the Durham Dales in Co Durham; explore the Castle and its beautiful 200-acre deer park, with walled gardens. Continue to Durham for a visit to Durham Cathedral and some free time to explore around this medieval city.

Continue this afternoon to our hotel.
