Detailed Itinerary
Saturday, December 27 - St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands - Embarkation
You will be transferred from St. Thomas International Airport to the ship. The largest and most developed of the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Thomas lives up to license plates proclaiming "American Paradise". Steep hills carpeted in green give way to dramatic views of the yacht-lined bay, St. John, and the British Virgin Isles. Charlotte Amalie, the bustling waterfront seat of government, exudes Danish charm. And Magens Bay Beach on the north end is considered by many travel writers to be among the top ten most beautiful beaches in the world. Embarkation and Sail Away Tea Dance.
Sunday, December 28 - Day At Sea
Wander up on deck to watch the sails unfurl. Feel the warm breeze on your face as you sip your favorite cocktail by the pool or be pampered by a spa treatment. This is your day to relax and unwind as we sail to our next enchanting port of call.
Monday, December 29 - Barbuda - Optional Excursions
Chartered by Columbus in 1493, Barbuda has a population of only 1200. It is best known for its 17 miles of pink and white sand beaches - almost like those of Bermuda. Barrier reefs protect the island and keep most of the waters tranquil. Barbuda is the Caribbean's last frontier, even though it is home to two of the region's most expensive and exclusive resorts.
Tuesday, December 30 - Anguilla - Optional Excursions
Anguilla, one of the Caribbean's most chic destinations, has some of the finest white-sand beaches. More than 30 beaches dot the island, shaded by sea-grape trees. The best beaches such as Rendezvous Bay are on the west end of the island, site of the most expensive hotels.
Wednesday, December 31 - San Juan, Puerto Rico - Optional Excursions / New Year's Eve Gala
Lush, verdant Puerto Rico is half the size of New Jersey and 1000 miles southeast of the tip of Florida. San Juan, Puerto Rico's capital, is an urban sprawl of several municipalities that lies along the islands north coast. Its architecture ranges from classic colonial to modern beachfront hotels - resembling Miami Beach. The city center is on San Juan Island and the western half of the city contains the beautifully preserved walled city of Old San Juan. The beaches are expansive and the shopping a delight.
Thursday, January 1 - Vieques/Mosquito Bay, Puerto Rico - Optional Excursions
Vieques is known as "La Isla Nena" (little girl island) and "Isabel Segunda" (Isabel II). Founded in 1843 by Francisco Saínz, Vieques has excellent snorkeling, especially at Blue Beach. The island is also the home of phosphorescent Mosquito Bay. This rare and remarkable phenomenon is caused by millions of luminescent dinoflagellates lighting up when disturbed by movement. Nighttime snorkeling in these luminescent waters is definitely a treat you do not want to miss.
Friday, January 2 - St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands - Optional Excursions
St. Croix is the largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands and has two distinct regions - the rocky and arid east end and the lush, small rain forest on the west end. Between the two are beautiful beaches, and rolling hills. Christiansted one of the most picturesque towns in the Caribbean, is a beautifully restored Danish port with red roofed structures often washed in pink, ocher, or yellow. Buck Island the other port we visit, is legendary for it's crystal-clear water and white-coral sand and even more so for its underwater snorkeling trails. This island could quite possibly be the most important attraction of the Caribbean.
Saturday, January 3 - St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands - Disembark
You will be transferred from the ship to the St. Thomas International Airport for your flight home or to our pre-cruise hotel. Flights departing St. Thomas after 10am are highly recommended.
NOTE: All shore excursions are optional. Costs vary based on the shore excursion chosen.
NON U.S. CITIZENS: A visa may be required for some of the ports visited. Please check with Travelpride, Happy Gay Travel, or local embassies of the island countries we visit in your country of residence.
*Itinerary subject to change. Due to new security requirements, for arrivals in and out of St. Thomas it is recommended that guests allow adequate time for transfers between the airport and the pier, customs inspection, and airport security checks.
Embarkation begins at 1 pm. Disembarkation by 10 am.
