The stylish Saint John oozes elegance and provides a fabulously comfortable base for those who appreciate a genuine touch of class in beautiful surroundings, and all round about four kilometres from Mykonos Town.
Situated on its own 200 metre long private beach, with breathtaking views out to the island of Delos, the Saint John's facilities include the largest swimming pool on the island, a floodlit tennis court, a health club and spa (indoor pool, sauna, massage, mud baths) a fitness centre and a beauty centre. All new arrivals receive a complimentary welcome drink, which we think is a lovely way to start your holiday.
When it comes to food and drink the Saint John sets out to spoil you rotten: there's an indoor piano bar, the 'Breeze' pool bar and yet another bar called 'Entre Nous', while foodies will appreciate choosing between the poolside Kalimera restaurant (serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks), the á la carte 'Symposium' restaurant or the top-notch gourmet eaterie '7th Heaven'.
You can choose between various different types of accommodation here at Saint John: deluxe double rooms overlook the hotel's gardens and feature a sophisticated climate control system which, apparently, makes standard air conditioning look like something out of the stone age, plus lovely ensuite bathrooms, satellite telly, a safe and a mini bar. Superior rooms are the same, but with a sea view, while executive rooms are larger with wonderful views out to sea. The junior suites, again with a sea view, are bigger still with a separate living area. All rooms, whichever type you choose, have CD players, modems for your laptop, bathrobes and slippers. Some rooms are non-smoking (please ask when you book) and there are even some specially designed honeymoon rooms. Naturally, full maid service takes place every day.
One more thing before we go. Because the Saint John is built on several levels, you can get around in one of those golf buggy type things which we reckon sounds like enormous fun.
