| Mykonos Town
Clientele: Gay Friendly
Oh how we love it when we're able to get hold of brand new accommodation, especially when it's rare-as-hen's-teeth self-catering studios in Mykonos Town. That's why we're as happy as a holiday rep in a darkroom to be able to introduce you to the Megali Ammos Studios - the latest addition to our bulging Mykonos portfolio.
Built in 2006 all studios boast a living/sleeping area, a kitchenette - with fridge - fit for basic self-catering, an ensuite bathroom and that all important balcony or terrace. Everyone gets air conditioning, a television and a beautiful sea view, and facilities include a small pool (complimentary sunbeds, natch) and a bar which serves snacks as well as your favourite alcoholic bevvies.
As regards the Megali's location, they're right on the opposite side of town to the Yacht Club, about an 800 metre stroll from the main bus station in Fabrika Square. Unusually for a part of the world as hilly as Mykonos, they're pretty much on the flat and, usefully, a couple of hundred metres from a small beach. OK…the beach isn't anything like the island's more celebrated sands which you have doubtless already read about in our Mykonos resort intro, but still quite handy for a sneaky sunbathing sesh in relatively peaceful surroundings.
Maid service and towel change take place every day, and you bedlinen is changed three times a week. That's nice.
