The 171 room Hotel Neptuno, which is turning adults-only from May 2007, is located bang next door to the Yumbo and is well deserving of its four star official rating. There's a large pool surrounded by extensive sunterraces, a poolside bar and snack bar, a buffet-style restaurant (lavish dinner, by the way) an indoor bar and various lounges.

The hotel offers a wide range of leisure activities. During the day, the offer includes organized games and boccia, crazy golf, pool, shuffleboard, darts, etc., as well as water aerobics. In the evenings, two or three times a week, there are professional shows or you can simply enjoy a relaxing drink in the piano bar.

The staff here are efficient and friendly without being stuffy, and it's this combination of quality, service and location which makes has made the Neptuno very popular hotel for gay travellers. That and the fact that it's great being able to stagger back to your hotel from a night out in the Yumbo in two minutes flat, whatever your choice of footwear.

Every room has twin beds, satellite TV, a phone, a hairdryer, a mini-bar, a balcony and a private bathroom. Cleaning and towel change takes place every day of the week and your bedlinen is changed three times a week. Singles can opt to receive a twin room for sole use which is rather nice, isn't it?
