 To many guest this complex is know under the name off Club Tucanes. We think that after the renovation Los Tucanes has returned its previous popularity as one of the best Gaycomplex in Playa del Ingles, because of the style of the bungalows, the Jacuzzi and Bar.
Los Tucanes is the only gay complex in Playa del Ingles located directly across the road from the famous Yumbo Centre. That means you're just one minute's walk from the island's best selection of gay bars, clubs & restaurants – so no need for expensive taxis!
The Yumbo Centre is the focal point for gay tourists visiting Playa del Ingles. By day it's a mixture of shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. By night it transforms itself into a Mecca of gay clubs and bars catering for most if not all tastes.
If the beach is more your thing, entry to the dunes is about a 10-minute walk away via the Riu Palace Hotel.
Los Tucanes is the only exclusively gay complex that offers all night security, free use of private room safes and free use of the in room satellite TV, which also features adult viewing.
Los Tucanes is exceptionally well laid out.
Beyond the reception (and totally secluded from the outside) is the pool bar where breakfast is served and light snacks and meals are available throughout the day till late.
The complex has a large pool – decent enough for a good swim – with loads of space for sunbathing poolside. It's clothing optional here so there's plenty of opportunity to work on your all over tan. There is also a large Jacuzzi on site.
Internet facilities are available for additional surcharge everywhere in complex.
There is a welcome buffet every Tuesday giving you a chance to make new friends and to meet the team officially. (Optional Extra)
Finally the resort has its own laundry facilities available to guests for a small charge.
Los Tucanes has 32 large one-bedroom bungalows. All set in landscaped gardens, and all with a private terrace. Some of the units overlook the pool, and these can be requested at the time of booking at no extra charge.
The bungalows offer decent sized bedrooms with twin beds with double beds on request. All the bedrooms have fitted wardrobes with full-length mirrors and free electronic safes.
The well-appointed living areas comes complete with satellite TV, CD player, radio and portable cooling system. Some units also have a double sofa bed that can comfortably accommodate a third person.
There are kitchenettes in every bungalow, complete with two cooking rings (suitable for light meals only), and a fridge.
The bathrooms have a shower, bathtub and wc. All have hairdryers. All units also have an iron & ironing board.
There is a maid service 5 times a week. Towels are changed twice a week and bed linen once a week.
