With their hard-to-beat location (only 100 metres or so from the Yumbo and about 15 minutes' walk to the nearest beach), comfortable furnishings and pocket-pleasing prices, the Barbados are without doubt a must-book choice for anyone looking for two bedroom accommodation close to the action and nightlife.
Each apartment is designed to sell up to five funseekers, with two twin bedrooms sleeping two each (that's four in total, Einstein) with one lucky punter occupying the sofabed in the living room (our advice: save that spot for your group's resident snorer).
The kitchenette, separated from the the living room by an American bar, has two halogen cooking rings, a kettle, a toaster and a fridge (quite sufficient for your basic self-catering requirements and to make us breakfast when we drop in unannounced) while every apartment has its own bath or shower room, a balcony and a coin operated TV with a small selection of satellite stations. Maids will give the whole place the once-over five times a week.
There are two - yes, TWO! - large, inviting swimming pools on site (complimentary sunbeds, by the way), internet access, four lifts, a cash machine, a poolside bar serving drinks and snacks and a 24 hour reception. It's here at reception where your safe is located (rather than in your apartment) and don't forget to fork out a few Euros to hire one.
Ideal for a couple of mates or for larger groups on a budget, we reckon that the Barbados offers among the best value for money in the whole of Playa del Ingles.
