By day, Olivia will host an emerging artist concert series showcasing some of the hottest independent and rising artists around, celebrating 35 years of women in music, comedy, spoken word, and film. Since this is an exclusive Olivia resort buy-out, you'll be surrounded by women, and more women, in one of the most stunning places on earth. All you need is your bathing suit-everything else is taken care of! From the top of this legendary pyramid emerging from an ocean of greenery, you will be transported back to the time of the Mayans. Your Activities

Play in the water or simply drift over schools of striped fish and beautiful marine life in your own world. Relax by the main bar, Soluna, or Las Velas, the pool bar in the afternoon with the Yucatan's coldest beers or smoothest daiquiris. Take advantage of superb instructors in the fitness center, on the tennis court, at the windsurfing beach, or while sailing. Activities include basketball, cooking demonstrations, volleyball, scuba diving and...did someone say trapeze lessons? Best of all, when you're having this much fun, you can't help but make new friends.

Your Indie Fest Viva Cancun II line-up will include Elvira Kurt, The Cliks, Vicci Martinez, Blame Sally, Trina Hamlin, Adrianne Gonzalez, and the Wau Wau Sisters! Don’t miss WOLFE and other films, and favorites Karen Williams, Julie Goldman, and Dana Goldberg. There will be a different line-up each week, and we are adding performers all the time!

Elvira Kurt
Elvira Kurt, voted Funniest Female Comic at the Canadian Comedy Awards, continues her modest quest for worldwide comedy domination with a hit series, "Elvira Kurt: Adventures in Comedy," on Canada's Comedy Network, not one but two specials on Comedy Central and the animated series "Reality Chick" on the Oxygen Network, for which she is the voice of the title character, an eight months pregnant feminist superhero.

The Cliks
And now for something completely different. The Cliks' album Snakehouse (Warner Canada, Silver Label/Tommy Boy Entertainment US/International) reveals a band of such primal power and unguarded emotionality that it will take your breath away. Having spent the last year on the road playing with some of music's greats, including The Cult and as part of Cyndi Lauper's True Colors Tour, as well as appearing on CBS's the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The Cliks, Lucas Silveira (vocals/guitar) with Morgan Doctor (Drums), Nina Martinez (Guitar), and Jen Benton (Bass), are showing no signs of slowing down. This year, you can catch Lucas on an episode of the new season of TLC's L.A. Ink being tattooed by Kat Von D. This year will be the band's second appearance at SXSW. After last year's performance, the Boston Globe wrote, "Two of our favorite bands at the festival anchored the extremes of female-centric sounds... and The Cliks, a foursome out of Toronto, rocked with primal, stylish ferocity reminiscent of the early Pretenders."

Vicci Martinez
Vicci Martinez, the 21-year-old Tacoma WA native, has been turning people on to her music since she was 14, when she started playing rooms she wasn't old enough to be in. Even then, her music moved people. With dubious crowds looking on, Vicci stood firm, this little frame, and this pretty face, and a guitar that almost tipped her over. And then she'd sing. This huge, powerful, and beautiful voice that ripped through the room and made believers of them all. Years later, not all that much has changed. The rooms are bigger, Vicci's core following more devout, but she's still breaking stereotypes and all expectations. Vicci has carved her niche in the musical echelon, and has done it her way.

Blame Sally
Their music, which has been described as emotionally charged, passionate, highly melodic and compelling, has been played on radio stations around the country. Their performance schedule has taken them from San Francisco, CA to Sardinia, Italy, including performances at some of the country's finest acoustic music festivals (such as Strawberry Music Festival, Four Corners Folk Festival, Live Oak Music Festival), concert halls and listening rooms.

Adrianne Gonzalez
Adrianne has a voice and songs that will fill your heart and break your heart at the same time. From the moment she steps onto the stage until the last note, the room is silent, as she has a way of creating a world within a world. She has supported such acts as Jeff Buckley, Jonatha Brooke, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Tegan and Sara, and Colin Hay, The Weepies, and Tracy Bonham just to name a few, Lyle Lovett, Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin and Emmy Lou Harris. Adrianne has also had much success in the film and tv world, having had songs in several major network tv shows and major motion pictures.

Karen Williams
Curve Magazine calls Karen Williams "...a laugh riot!" The Sydney Morning Herald proclaims that Karen Williams is "ferociously funny, with perfect pace, timing and structure."

Whether auditioning for Whoopi Goldberg's producers, pitching talk show ideas to HERE TV, or being filmed live for MTV, Karen Williams is the next rising star, with her stunning good looks, awesome personality, and sterling reputation for delivering laughs each and every time!

Karen showcased her newest solo show, "The Dating Queen," in Provincetown, and continues with this act through 2007. Performing to packed houses, this hilarious spin on the jetset life of a comic queen and dating feminista is wildly funny and entertaining.

Julie Goldman
Julie Goldman has been garnering massive attention as a comedian, musician, filmmaker and actor. She recently played an openly gay character on HBO's "The Sopranos." She is also the star and headliner of her own show which played at Caroline's Comedy Club on Broadway. Julie has played comedy clubs and has taken the stage in numerous locations all across the United States, from New York to Texas.

Dana Goldberg
Raised by a wild pack of Jews, otherwise known as her mother and siblings, Dana Goldberg is a force of nature on stage. From Last Comic Standing at the Tempe Improv to the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, Dana is spreading her quick wit and playful stage presence across the world. Hailed as one of the new "Queer Queens of Qomedy" CURVE Magazine raves, "She's smart, cute, and seriously funny." Girl4Girl in Seattle calls Dana our "triple threat."
