Budapest, called the "Pearl of the Danube" is the pulse of Central Europe. It's an enchanting city of vibrant contrasts between Old World opulence and contemporary lifestyles. Known as the finest city in the Habsburg dynasty, Budapest is made up of two separate towns, hilly Buda on the Danube's western bank and Pest on the eastern side. This is a city rich in historical sights, including Roman ruins, the Neo-Classical Parliament and many famed Turkish thermal baths. Budapest is richly endowed with natural springs of thermal waters which supply the city's many thermal baths.

BUDAPEST MARRIOTT HOTEL

Budapest Day 1 – July 31
Arrival in Budapest. Most flights from North America arrive to Europe the day after departure from the USA

On Your Own Transfers: Take a taxi on own from the airport to hotel for check in and take the rest of the afternoon to become familiar with this vibrant city. You can go shopping along Váci utca for traditional souvenirs like porcelain or peasant embroidery. And be sure to sample Budapest's famous fare, goulash.

This evening, get acquainted with your fellow Olivia travelers at our Welcome Reception at the hotel.

Budapest Day 2 – August 1
Included Old Buda Walking Tour. After breakfast, join your guided walking tour of Old Buda. You'll stroll through the Castle District and visit Buda Castle, the historic royal castle of Hungary. We'll then walk along romantic Tarnok Street where many shops offer Hungarian handicrafts and food items. Continue to the National Gallery and Matthias Fountain.

You'll also visit Fishermen's Bastion for great views of the city and enjoy a visit inside famed Matthias Church.

Budapest at Leisure. The rest of the day is yours to explore Budapest. You can cross over to the Pest side of the city and explore Heroes' Square, City Park or the lively covered market.

Budapest Day 3 – August 2
Included Parliament Tour. This morning's tour highlights the magnificent domed neo- Gothic Parliament, whose rooms contain boundless treasure. You'll visit the beautiful interior of the palace and see frescos, paintings and tapestries, along with Hungarian coronation regalia. Next we'll visit St. Stephen's, the most photographed sight in the city, and enjoy a panoramic view from its dome.

Budapest at Leisure. During afternoon free time, you may opt to visit one of the beautiful and elegant baths in Budapest. Here, you can use the outdoor swimming pool, saunas or Turkish baths with mineral rich water from natural springs, flowing for the past 2,000 years.

Prague truly is a rare and magical city, full of unexpected delights just waiting to be discovered by you. Known as the Golden City of 100 spires, Prague's position at the crossroads of Europe has made it a popular destination for many centuries.

A part of the European Union since 2004, Prague retains it's old world charm with stunning churches and palaces which enthrall visitors with their architectural splendor, inviting cobble stone pedestrian streets, charming boutiques and outdoor cafes along the river where one can while away the hours, and sample a glass or two of the renowned Czech beers that are guaranteed not to disappoint.

For shoppers the delights of traditional Czech products such as crystal ware, pottery and marionettes are available in a wide selection of international shops throughout the city centre.

RADISSON SAS ALCRON HOTEL

Prague Day 1 – August 10
Transfer from Nuremburg to Prague

Disembark the ship. Today our group will be transferred from Nuremburg, Germany to our hotel in Prague for check in. Spend today exploring the "City of a Hundred Spires" on your own. Take the afternoon to become acquainted with Prague's varied architecture, from Romanesque to Gothic and baroque to Art Nouveau. You'll also want sample some traditional savory Czech food such as Goulash, roast pork or duck.

Prague Day 2 – August 11
Included Prague Old Town & New Town Tour. After breakfast, embark on your city tour. During your fully-escorted tour, you'll visit Old Town where you'll see Old Town Hall and the famous Astronomical Clock. You'll also see the Main Square and visit Our Lady of Tyn Church.

Then it's on to the elegant National Theatre for a private 30-minute marionette performance of Mozart's opera, Don Giovanni, using tall marionettes, stylish period costumes and original stage effects.

Prague at Leisure. Your afternoon is free to visit the Josefov Quarter (Prague's Jewish Quarter) with its many historic synagogues and one of Europe's oldest Jewish cemeteries. Or, stroll through the National Museum, housed in a huge neorenaissance building near New Town.

Prague Day 3 – August 12
ncluded Hradcany Castle "Insider" Tour. Breakfast is followed by an "insider" guided tour of Hradcany Castle, the most popular sight in Prague. Dating back to the 9th century, it's one of the world's largest castles, and has buildings that represent virtually every architectural style spanning the last one thousand years. The complex features many courtyards, chapels, palaces, galleries and the renowned Gothic St. Vitus Cathedral.

Prague at Leisure. Enjoy afternoon free time to further explore Prague, including sights such as the Charles Bridge. Tonight, you may want to visit Wenceslas Square, a central area of shops, restaurants, pubs and other landmarks. You'll want to sample some local beer or a good Czech wine.

Prague Day 4 – August 13 / Depart
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer on own to the airport for your flight home.
