Mazatlan – the "Pearl of the Pacific" – offers the best of both worlds…sun and sand, and culture and history. Downtown showcases views of the restored 19th century mansions and the stained glass of the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception. Animal lovers – take an optional excursion through Mexico's largest estuary to view over 30 types of exotic birds native to the region, or visit endangered gulf turtles at the Mangrove Sanctuary. You can also get active with the Huana Coa Canopy Adventure where you'll ride an ATV and zipline through the jungle (you'll even end the day sampling tequila from the Los Osuna distillery). Beginners and experienced fisherwomen alike can enjoy the optional Sportfishing excursion and try your luck at catching a juicy marlin. Of course, if sunbathing or strolling on the beach is your preference, there are plenty of beautiful, sandy beaches from which to choose.

Cabo San Lucas provides the best of both worlds – tranquil San Jose del Cabo retains the look and vibe of an authentic Mexican town with its cobblestone streets, colorful colonial buildings, and central main square. Beachy Cabo San Lucas, on the other end of the highway, is the entertainment hub with funky bars and terrific shopping plazas. Swim at one of Cabo's many beaches, or take a walk along Lover's Beach to see the arch at Land's End. If you didn't get the chance to swim with dolphins in Puerto Vallarta, you can sign up for the Dolphin Encounter in Cabo and splash around with them. Adventurers – try the Kayak & Snorkel Adventure in San Lucas Bay, an underwater park and marine sanctuary, or zipline through the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
