Copenhagen to Amsterdam Pride All-Gay Cruise
July 29–August 8, 2010
Holland America’s Eurodam
Sail into Amsterdam Gay Pride in 2010 on our first cruise to sail to Europe's most gay-friendly city. We've chartered the stunning Eurodam for an unforgettable sailing from Copenhagen to the best of Northern Europe. Stunningly beautiful cities, welcoming gay-friendly cultures, and magical nights define Atlantis' most popular summer cruise. The best of the Baltic, combined with an exciting overnight in Amsterdam to create our hottest cruise of the summer.
Atlantis brings our most popular European cruise to a whole new level next summer as we sail into Amsterdam for an overnight during their famous gay pride celebration. Whether you've been on several cruises or are sailing for your first time, there are few more exciting places in the world to explore by ship than the Baltic Sea. Our all-new custom itinerary offers you the best of it all, including two full days in awe-inspiring St. Petersburg.
Gay-friendly and charming Copenhagen welcomes us with open arms to the waterways, parks, and castles that have made this city famous. From there we sail to the charming city of Tallin, Estonia, a near perfect Medieval town with a fast-growing modern lifestyle.
Two full days (with an overnight) in magical St Petersburg, Russia provide ample time to explore the city's vast cultural collection of museums, palaces, architecture, parks, and theaters. Our expert guides and outstanding tours offer a variety of options for exploring the city both day and night.
You'll find Finnish hospitality, a rugged sense of style, and unexpected adventures in the capital city of Helsinki. Explore cosmopolitan Stockholm, the seductive cultural and business hub of Sweden. After two relaxing days at sea we'll finally sail directly into Amsterdam just hours before their world-famous gay pride parade through the canals of this unique city. Our overnight stay allows you plenty of time to revel in the parties, nightlife, and unparalleled atmosphere of the world’s most gay-friendly city.
Holland America's Eurodam truly is the perfect ship to experience the Baltic in absolute comfort and style. You'll love her modern design, large comfortable staterooms, wide variety of entertainment venues, and unique features not found on any other ship.

Outdoors you'll find two stunning pool deck areas to enjoy the balmy days at sea, dance at our famous themed t-dances, or join into our poolside activities. At night, the main pool's "magradome" can be closed to create the perfect setting for Atlantis' fantastic night parties, starring three of the world's leading DJs.
The dramatic two-story restaurant offers soaring views of the ocean and Holland America's award-winning cuisine. Attentive yet unobtrusive service makes dining an event to savor. As on all Atlantis cruises, we feature open seating and a casual atmosphere with no dress code. Copenhagen, Denmark
Before we set sail, the capital of Denmark will definitely make you smile. Despite being a great European capital, Copenhagen has managed to maintain the charm and character of its small fishing village roots. As the epicenter for simple, clean Scandinavian design, Copenhagen is a great place to shop for furniture and home decor. Take a stroll down the bustling Stroget; visit Kronberg Castle, the setting of Shakespeare's Hamlet; or explore Tivoli, the inspiration for Walt Disney's theme parks.
Tallinn, Estonia
Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, is one of the oldest cities on the Baltic Sea. Much of it has remained unchanged since its founding 600 years ago, enabling visitors to enjoy architectural marvels, like the soaring towers of Toompea Castle and the exquisite Russian Orthodox Cathedral. A romantic walk awaits as you explore the medieval cobblestone alleyways, cracking walls and old buildings from the Middle Ages. Today, Tallinn is also filled with parks, museums, sports centers, hotels and cafés.
St. Petersburg, Russia
St. Petersburg was reportedly built to resemble western cities such as London, Paris and Vienna. Although, once you see it, you'll agree there's nothing quite like this regal city. St. Petersburg embodies the soul of Imperial Russia, with elegant facades, glorious cathedrals and grand residences built by Peter the Great. Under Catherine the Great, the city gained new splendor with elaborate palaces, lovely parks and magnificent squares designed by French and Italian architects.
Helsinki, Finland
Occupying a peninsula and several islands, Helsinki is the sparkling capital of Finland, an elegant city of spectacular architecture, beautiful gardens, and harborside parks. The Finns have long been admired for graceful design. Helsinki's architecture spans many styles and centuries, from medieval to neoclassical, as well as the superb ultra-modern creations by Aalto, Saarinen, and other Finnish masters.
Stockholm, Sweden
Fifty bridges connect this Swedish capital's fourteen islands to its mainland. Undoubtedly, this was to ensure that Swedes could enjoy every inch of this magnificent city's parks, museums, and palaces - the most famous being the 600-room Royal Palace. Make your way through the Gamla Stan, or Old Town, packed with historic buildings, shops and cafÉs. Then try Aquavit, a potato based liquor, served ice-cold and drunk as a shot. Locals love it, but be warned: it's a lot stronger than you think!
Amsterdam, Netherlands
An eclectic mix of old and new, Amsterdam's historical charm and cosmopolitan flair are as captivating as its unique architecture. It's a blend of cultures, but still quintessentially Dutch, with its friendly and open-minded residents welcoming you to such unique attractions as the Anne Frank's house, the Van Gogh museum, and the Heineken Brewery. Better yet, though, the best way to see the city is on foot, strolling over its 1281 bridges
Important Note on Russian Visa Requirements
Guests participating in shore excursions organized through Holland America do not need an individual Russian Tourist Visa to proceed ashore when on the cruise line's organized tour(s). These participants are covered by the "blanket Visa" obtained by our local tour operator. We will offer several additional and customized tours to accommodate our guests, including evening excursions.
If you plan on visiting St. Petersburg outside of the tours offered, you will need to procure a Russian Visa from a qualified visa service, or work with an operator that provides one. Please contact a visa service of your choice or the local consulate for required documentation, fees and forms.
