Day 1
Arrive Lima
Lima, "City of Kings", meet and greet on arrival and transfer to the Miraflores hotel.
Day 2
Lima
Enjoy a full day exploring this fascinating city filled with historic buildings, some of the world's finest museums and food and drink second to none. This guided excursion includes visits to Plaza Mayor,
Archbishop's Palace, San Francisco Monastery and the Gold Museum with
lunch at a delightfully "typical" Peruvian restaurant on the sea front.
Day 3
Cusco
Leaving Lima behind fly onto Cusco, Heart of the Inca
Empire. After settling at the hotel, tour this charming city with its unique
blend of Inca and Spanish heritage, cobbled streets and lively cafes dotting
the central square. Venture into the countryside; visit the Inca ruins of
Sacsayhuaman, the temple of Kenko and the Red Fortress of Puca Pucara.
Day 4
Cusco & The Sacred Valley
The magnificent Urubamba
Valley is filled with traditional Inca villages and amazing ancient ceremonial sites. Explore Pisac, the largest fortress-city of the Incas and bargain with vendors at a local handicraft market. Enjoy lunch at a local hacienda. Climb up to the grand stone ruins of Ollantaytambo.
Day 5
Machu Picchu
Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas. Enjoy brunch on the Hiram Bingham Orient Express, traveling in luxury from Cusco to Machu Picchu. Enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience of the lost city, exploring Inca trails and climbing Huayna Picchu.
