Machu Picchu gay trip

A Dream Adventure...

Travel aboard a luxury private train that carries just 84 passengers to one of the most mystical places on earth. Named after the explorer who discovered the ruins of Machu Picchu in 1911, Hiram Bingham Orient Express is a 1920s Pullman-style train that travels from Poroy, near the ancient city of Cusco, to what is considered one of the world’s seven wonders. Machu Pichhu is on the bucket lists of most experienced travelers. Built around 1450 and abandoned for unknown reasons, this Lost City of the Incas has great mystical significance.

You will stay at the iconic Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge, the only hotel located at the Citadel of Machu Picchu. You can climb to the temple in the early morning or late afternoon, when most of the tourists have left.

All-gay tour to Machu Picchu

The ancient city of Cusco, high in the Andes, is a mix Amerindian and Spanish Colonial culture surrounded by Incan ruins. You’ll stay overnight at the magnificent Hotel Monasterio, a five-star hotel originally built in 1592 as a monastery on top of an Incan palace. While here, buy famous Cusco oil paintings of the saints in gilded frames or Andean textiles.

Belmond Hotel Rio Sagrado is on the Urubamba River just outside Cusco. Resembling an authentic Andean village, the hotel is at the spiritual heart of Peru in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. This spectacular gay trip emanates positive energy, whether in the giant stonework of the past or the smiles of the Peruvian people today.

Upon arrival in Cusco you will be met after luggage collection and transferred to the Belmond Rio Sagrado Hotel in Sacred Valley. The afternoon visit Koricancha, The Temple of Sun. The combined sacred sites of Koricancha and Santo Domingo in Cusco vividly illustrate ancient Andean culture’s collision with Western Europe. The Temple of the Sun (Templo del Sol) at Koricancha was the most sumptuous temple in the Inca Empire. After the spanish conquest the exquisite polished stone walls were used as the foundations of the Dominican Convent of Santo Domingo, forming perhaps Cusco’s most jarring imperial- colonial architectural juxtaposition.
Overnight: Belmond Rio Sagrado Hotel, Urubamba.

Day 4 - November 11, 2018, Sunday
Sacred Valley, Peru
Chinchero, Sacred ValleyVisit Chinchero town , a small Andean Indian village located high up on the windswept plains of Anta at 3762m above sea level, about 30km from Cusco. Afternoon visit Ollantaytambo the site of one of the great Inca fortresses and sacred areas in the Urubamba Valley. The town is one of the oldest continuously occupied settlements in the Americas, and the sixteen massive terraces spread before you are a testimony to the magnificent Inca masonry. Climb the steep stone steps up to the imposing fortress at the top of the mountain. From here the view down the valley is superb and you can admire the huge monoliths that form the Temple of the Sun.
Overnight: Belmond Rio Sagrado Hotel, Urubamba.

Day 5 - November 12, 2018, Monday
Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu
Machu Picchu Gay tourMorning Transfer to Ollanta station where you will travel to Machu Picchu on board the Vista Dome train, where a late morning arrival gives you time to begin your explorations of this breathtaking Incan citadel.? Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes train station, a 25 minutes shuttle will bring you to the ruins of Machu Picchu. Afternoon visit this unique Inca citadel and its surrounding complexes (private guided tour). Accompanied by your guide, explore the city’s ruins, and feel its pulse as you visualize the lives of the priests, craftsmen, and servants who inhabited this seemingly uninhabitable citadel. Excavations at the site have revealed skeletons, artifacts and woolen clothing, but no gold. The same precision of assembled stones exists here as in other Incan sites. Overlooking the raging Urubamba River and discovered in a hidden tangle of vines and trees atop the mountain, the city of Machu Picchu will forever hold its secret of its destruction – the Incas left no written record.
Overnight: Belmond Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge, Machu Picchu.
