S.V. Legacy
This four-masted Barquentine, formerly the France II, was built in 1959 by Forges et al Meditterranee of Le Havre, France and served as a meteorological research vessel for the French Government. Acquired by Windjammer in 1989, she was renovated with custom interiors, spacious accommodations and state-of-the-art navigational systems. She blends nautical tradition with modern comfort.

Possible Ports of Call
Herradura
Until recently this gem was unknown to almost all but a few hikers and nature lovers. Now it is home to one of Costa Rica's largest and most luxurious resorts. You'll fall in love with the black sand beaches, swaying palms and turquoise waters. Herradura is known as a surf mecca. The beachside town of Jaco, with lots of handicraft shopping and surf lessons/rentals, is a short taxi ride away. Black sand volcanic beach. Also nearby are La Carara Natl. Park with great birdwatching, and Rio Tarcoles with its crocodile infested waters - really cool to see!
Coiba
Nature is dressed to impress with her verdant jungles and beautiful beaches. An animal lovers paradise with more than 1450 species from parrots to hump black whales.
Drakes Bay
Lush rain forest are the main attraction. Cross the river on a swing bridge or hike through flower lined paths and discover the beautiful place on earth.
Golfito
This coastal town was born in 1938, when the United Fruit Company established its banana plantations here. Built from scratch in a unique plantation style, Golfito soon became the main banana shipping port in Costa Rica. In 1985 "the Big Fruit" company pulled out and today Golfito is a sleepy little town, but it has much to offer in terms of sheer beauty. You can hire a water taxi to explore the nearby beaches, take advantage of the world-class deep-sea fishing or visit the beautiful Casa Orquãsdeas (Orchid House).
Granito del Oro
Monkeys and parrots call to you from the jungle that frames this golden strand of beach. No wonder they call it "Little Grain of Gold".
Isla Secas
Swimming, snorkeling and shelling are the order of the day in no particular order on this lovely deserted island.
Quepos
A well-known, gay-friendly beach town. You'll be able to go white water rafting or zip accross the rainforest canopy. Explore the sights of Manuel Antonion National Park. This seaside town is the epitome of "jungle chic". Fresh seafood is the order of the day - your taste buds will thank you for being such a savvy traveler. Quepos is best known as the gateway to Manuel Antonio National Park - Costa Rica's crown jewel. White face monkeys squeal with delight as you trek jungle trails to a waterfall falling directly into the ocean as exotic birds fly overhead.
