Post-Thanksgiving cruise to Caribbean on Celebrity Reflection
7 nights roundtrip cruise from /to Miami, Florida
November 30 December 7, 2013
Celebrity's Reflection
Join us for Pied Piper most popular cruise of the year, 14th annual post-Thanksgiving cruise. We are planning several additional events and activities beyond what is offered on our other cruises. In 2011, Pied Piper passengers enjoyed a comedy night, a movie night, a costume theme party, a private beach party in one of the tropical cruise ports, nightly cocktail gatherings, an interactive Game Show, a welcome aboard party and singles mixers! All these amenities are included in your cruise fare to make your Pied Piper experience more fun. This year we will be sailing a classic Caribbean cruise itinerary onboard the amazing new Celebrity cruise ship, Reflection !
Our Post Thanksgiving groups are a great mix of frequent Pied Piper passengers and new faces and are always our largest groups. The feeling onboard is a wonderful sense of fun, camaraderie and inclusivity.
Celebrity's Reflection
Get ready for Celebrity Reflection , when the best of Solstice Class gets even better. She'll offer the first-ever AquaClass Suites, and a variety of exciting new venues - an outdoor, interactive grill restaurant, a craft beer bar, cabana-style havens and so much more.
Since Celebrity Reflection completed the Solstice Class in 2012, you have another spectacular choice for cruising. Relax like never before in one of the 34 new AquaClass Suites with 251 sq. ft. of luxurious interior space and stunning 57-sq.ft. verandas. All your favorite spa amenities and access to the highly-rated specialty restaurant, Blu, are included. There are even more inspired additions to this ship. Celebrity Reflection has expanded with an additional deck, 72 additional staterooms overall, and more seating in the main and specialty dining rooms, more sun loungers on the pool deck and more seats in theater.
Excitement brews with up to 50 international craft beers in the enhanced Michael's Club. Celebrate the flavorful joys of outdoor grilling in the new Lawn Club Grill. Unwind in your own cabana-styled haven, The Alcoves, on the Lawn Club. And check out all the new spa innovations in the enhanced AquaSpa by Elemis. Go on a culinary adventure in Qsine where you order from an iPad menu. Your vacation time is precious. Your time aboard Celebrity Reflection will make the most of it.
In the evenings, the Reflection offers an impressive array of evening entertainment. Take in a fabulous production in the Reflection Theatre, enjoy a late-night comedy show at Celebrity Central or explore the ship's bars and lounges, each with its own unique atmosphere. One of the ship's most interesting features is The Lawn Club that boasts a freshly manicured lawn of real grass and casual outdoor activities. Overlooking this park-like area is the Patio on the Lawn, which is the perfect place for relaxing with a good book and cup of gourmet coffee.

Where doing everything and doing nothing play nicely together
Whether you prefer the thrill of parasailing - soaring 800 feet over the beaches below - or just basking on those beaches, Celebrity offers the perfect activity for every sun lover.
Enjoy some of the world's most visually stunning beaches, explore villages for unique treasures, or excite your inner adventurer with tours both on land and sea. Finish the perfect day with a refreshing cocktail and sumptuous seafood fare, as you watch the sun melt into the blue horizon.
Miami, Florida
The beauty of South Beach's art deco architecture and sparkling beaches are set against a rich backdrop provided by the flavor of the Latin community. Come nightfall, Miami doesn't merely go out, it enthusiastically celebrates the onset of every evening with a passion that you'll find contagious.
The city of Miami is a young metropolis known for its beautiful beaches, exciting club scene and Latin American cultural influence. Miami-Dade County has a population of approximately 2.5 million. The area has grown immensely since its founding in 1897 due to immigration and an influx of American "snowbirds" escaping cold northern climates. While some follow the heavy music beats of the South Beach nightlife, others are drawn to the city's relaxed sub-tropical lifestyle. Evidenced in its politics, culture, and attractions, Miami is the gateway to the Florida Keys and the Caribbean and Latin America.
Miami, meaning "big river," is named for the river that runs through the heart of the city. It has played an influential role in the Miami's history. The Tequesta Indians originally inhabited the area. Oil tycoon, railroad baron and developer Henry Flagler extended his Florida East Coast Railway down to what was at the time an unincorporated little village. He promptly went to work building Miami.
South Florida's subtropical climate and environment are a huge attraction for scientists, nature lovers, and outdoor enthusiasts. To say that Miami is a sports crazy town would be a bit of an understatement. The city has hosted the annual Orange Bowl football game since 1937. The Hurricanes of the University of Miami have won many national championships in football and baseball. The Miami Dolphins still proudly boast of their 1972 "perfect season". The young Florida Marlins have already won the World Series, the Miami Heat has won the NBA Championship and the Florida Panthers have brought home professional hockey's coveted Stanley Cup.
Since its beginnings as a Spanish colonial outpost Miami has retained its Latin flavor in its demographics, culinary scene, and cultural traditions. Miami's connections with the Caribbean, especially Cuba, date back to the days of pirate attacks on colonial merchant ships leaving the Americas. The stories of ship wrecks and buried treasure, both lost and found, have become imbedded in South Florida lore. Pirates, rum runners and the "Miami Vice" image of speed spiced with beauty, a touch of danger and intrigue to the music of a steamy Latin beat all come together to make one of the youngest cities in America one of the most exciting.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
While San Juan is a vibrant, modern port city, it also has one foot anchored proudly in the past, dating back to its time as a Spanish colonial outpost. Many of the old structures, including forts and cathedrals, date back to the early 16th century and the conquest by Juan Ponce de León in 1508.
When you're in San Juan, don't miss the opportunity to witness the pinnacle of natural beauty by exploring Puerto Rico's El Yunque Rain Forest. It features more than 240 species of trees, hundreds of miniature orchids, and what was once believed to be the Fountain of Youth.
See Bano Grande, a natural swimming pool. Then take a walk on Camitillo Trail and look for the artificial nest of the Puerto Rican parrot and the flora and fauna of the Palo Colorado forest.
Explore Old San Juan, the second-oldest European settlement in the New World. Ride to San Felipe El Morro, the most dramatic of all the city's military fortifications. Visit the Casa Blanca Museum & Gardens, the Ballaja Barracks, Quincentennial Square, San Jose Church, San Juan Cathedral, and Cristo Chapel.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas (U.S. Virgin Islands)
This capital port of the U.S. Virgin Islands, is on the coast of a mountainous tropical paradise. Catch a great view of the Caribbean Sea from Drake's Seat or find your way to Paradise Point and their tram overlooking the harbor.
They sailed on some of the fastest, most beautiful ships ever to ply the waters of the Caribbean. They hailed from Europe and North America and went throughout the islands seeking excitement and adventure…trinkets to show and stories to tell their friends and family back home. They wore their tans as a badge of pride. They loved their wine and beer and sought out the very best food. Entertained by live music, they loved to dance and sing on board ship. When they finally came ashore in St. Thomas, though they were rowdy and raucous at times, noisy, and boisterous, bedecked in a strange assortment of attire…though they often had a bit too much to drink and at the end of the day could only find their ship with the help of equally inebriated friends. The local merchants welcomed them with open arms…after all ... they had money...lots of money…and they were eager to spend it in St. Thomas
Cruise passengers today use phrases like "Which way to the buffet?" and "Is this on sale?" While the cruisers mentioned above used phrases such as "Me hearties" and the ever popular "Shiver me timbers!" The pirates loved St. Thomas too and perhaps they weren't really as bad as they have been made out to be…it was just that they didn't have a charming Cruise Director, Broadway style shows and air-conditioned state rooms with nightly turn-down service and a chocolate mint waiting on their pillow.
After centuries of welcoming visitors ashore, as the capital of the United States Virgin Islands, Charlotte Amalie is one of the premier cruise ship destinations in the Caribbean and hosts over 1.5 million passengers annually.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
St. Maarten has two sides-a French and a Dutch. You can stroll along the magnificent beaches for hours, browse the endless French boutiques and duty-free shops, or visit sights like the cliffs and caves of Cupecoy Beach.
Philipsburg is the capital of Dutch St. Maarten. It a popular port of call for cruise ships, a center for duty free shopping and the commercial hub of the island.
Though the island is basically divided in half, between the north and the south, visitors will not find any border crossings or passport control stations. Once the French and Dutch got everything worked out by treaty in the early 1700s the two countries have cooperated and gotten along well ever since.
The Dutch side of the island is to the south. Though it is relaxed, there is more of an activity oriented atmosphere. There are many popular beaches where swim suits are actually worn (optional on French beaches), numerous casinos and a vibrant partying nightlife.
In the north, the French side of the island is casual, elegant and peaceful. Marigot is the capital where the smell of freshly baked baguettes combines with the fresh scent of tropical flowers floating on the sea air. It has world class shopping as well as restaurants and cafes that serve some of the best food imaginable.
Both St. Maarten and St. Martin are wonderful and the people are as genuinely warm and inviting as the weather
