Rouyal Caribbeean Allure of the Seas
Join us for Pied Piper Travel most popular cruise of the year, the 13th annual Post-Thanksgiving cruise. We are planning several additional events and activities beyond what is offered on our other cruises. In 2010, Pied Piper passengers enjoyed a comedy night, a movie night, a costume theme party, a private beach party in one of the tropical cruise ports, nightly cocktail gatherings, an interactive Game Show, Karaoke Idol nights, a welcome aboard party and singles mixers!
All these amenities are included in your cruise fare to make your Pied Piper experience more fun. This year we will be sailing a classic Caribbean cruise itinerary onboard the amazing luxury ship, Allure of the Seas! Our Post Thanksgiving groups are a great mix of frequent Pied Piper passengers and new faces and are always our largest groups. The feeling onboard is a wonderful sense of fun, camaraderie and inclusivity.
Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas
Allure of the Seas, the second Allure class ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet, made her maiden voyage in November 2010. Based on the same revolutionary neighbourhood concept as Oasis of the Seas, she has seven distinct areas onboard, each with a unique personality and range of innovative facilities.
Onboard the awe-inspiring Allure of the Seas, innovation and imagination rule supreme on the largest ship eve built. Start with seven incredible neighborhoods, packed with first-at-sea experiences: the oceanside AquaTheater, Starbucks®, Broadway hit musical Chicago, 3D movie theater, zip line, twin FlowRiders, designer shopping at Coach® stores, and so much more. There's something for everyone to discover on the world's most spectacular and best-designed ship.
The revolutionary design of Allure of the Seas will fill your days at sea with wonder: wake to two-story ocean views in our contemporary Loft Suites, hop onto a classic, full-sized carousel in the Boardwalk, spend some quiet time relaxing in the Solarium. Jump right into the Pool Zone, where you'll find the H2O Zone, cantilevered whirlpools, FlowRiders® and a thrilling zip-line view of the ship and sea below. When it's time to unwind, take a stroll in Central Park – a meandering garden and lush public space lined with foliage and fine restaurants – or discover the majestic view from any of the multiple balconies overlooking the AquaTheater, the first outdoor amphitheater and water show at sea.
With 28 ultra-modern loft suites and 2,700 spacious staterooms, this 17-deck marvel proves that the impossible, is possible. You have to see it to believe it, and won't believe what Royal Caribbean does to create a truly legendary experience.
The breathtaking space of the Boardwalk was inspired by both the seaside piers that dot the coast of England and the nostalgic boardwalks of yesteryear such as Coney Island. Boardwalk will be an area for the entire family to enjoy together, whether young or just young at heart. The elements of the Boardwalk will be a dynamic way to engage families in classic fun with a colorful original carousel as well as eateries, retail outlets and carnival games.
The Caribbean
Cruises to the Caribbean have something to offer for all passengers. Whether you want to explore the array of pure, white, sandy beaches or explore the luscious green hillsides, the Caribbean is the ultimate holidaymaker's paradise. Try your hand at a round of golf, hiking or perhaps snorkeling in the crystal clear seas.
With easy-going attitude, the locals are as much part of Caribbean cruise experience as the beaches and sun. Their laid-back lifestyle is infectious and you will find yourself slipping into their relaxed way of life as you enjoy their unending hospitality. One of the best places to experience this is in the bustling markets that can be found on every island in the Caribbean. Cruises here also give you the opportunity to get away from all civilisation by escaping to a pristine and often deserted beach.
Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Once the epicenter of Spring Break, today Fort Lauderdale is a year-round destination where culture and cuisine are in ample supply. Beautiful beaches, sunshine, coastline, nightclubs and superb restaurants await you in this Gold Coast enclave. More restaurants and shopping on Las Olas Boulevard or Himmarshee in downtown Ft. Lauderdale are a must.
This port city has been called the "Venice of America" due to a comprehensive canal network where you'll find gondolas docked on the Himmarshee Canal off Las Olas Boulevard. Enjoy extensive strolling, shopping, and dining opportunities, as well as the best of sand and sun.
Everglades National Park
Covering the southern tip of Florida, the Everglades is pristine wetlands that have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park is known for its rich birdlife and is the only place in the world where alligators and crocodiles co-exist.
Flamingo Gardens
These lush gardens comprise 60 acres (24 hectares) showcasing rare, exotic and native plants including 22 champion trees. Attractions include the Everglades "Free Flight" Aviary, Alligator Lagoon, River Otter and Bobcat Habitats, Birds of Prey Centre and the Wildlife Encounter.
Intracoastal Waterway
Considered the "Venice of America," Ft. Lauderdale consists of 300 miles (483km) of navigable inland waterways lined with multimillion-dollar mansions, estates, and yachts belonging to the rich and famous.
Nassau, Bahamas
The capital of the Bahamas brims with colonial architecture and historic buildings. Climb the Queen's Staircase, carved in the sandstone cliffs, explore the tunnels of Fort Charlotte, peer at the colourful blooms in Ardastra Gardens or discover the exotic marine life living in the shimmering turquoise waters.
Queens Staircase
The Queens Staircase is the most visited spot in Nassau. Its 65 steps were carved out of solid limestone in the late 18th Century and named in honour of the 65 years of Queen's Victoria's reign.
Fort Charlotte
Built in 1789 this was named in honour of the wife of King George III. This is the largest fort in Nassau and it has never fired a shot in Battle. It includes a water-less moat, draw-bridge, ramparts and dungeons which are well worth a visit as is the fine view of Nassau Harbour.
Ardastra Gardens Zoo and Conservation Centre
Opened in 1937, these gardens and zoo feature approximately300 animals and are best known for its flamingoes. They also include species such as the Bahamas parrot and many species of iguanas.
Straw Market
Nassau's famous Straw Market is one of the largest in the world. Browse through an abundance of handmade mats, hats, and baskets along with fabrics, jewellery, woodcarvings, and guava jellies.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Stroll through Blackbeard's 17th century castle and colonial estates housing three manor houses. See the rum factory, and the amazing Amber Museum with its beautiful amber waterfall. Take a schooner to Christmas and Turtle Cove for an opportunity to snorkel before heading to Honeymoon Beach for idyllic relaxation.
Coral World
This marine park includes a predator tank, Marine Gardens, aquariums and a touch pool.
Duty Free Shopping
St. Thomas has long been known for excellent duty free shopping. Many of the ship's tours include time for shopping plus you get to experience the history and sights of the island.
Magens Bay
Rated by National Geographic as one of the top 10 beaches in the world.
Mountain Top
Highest point on the island that offers spectacular views of Magens Bay and neighbouring islands.
St.John
Virgin Islands National Park covers two-thirds of the island, providing beautiful beaches and impressive snorkelling in the marine preserve.
St.Peter Great House
This Caribbean hideaway was once a haunt of the rich and famous. It offers impressive views from the observation deck perched 1,000 feet (304.8m) above sea level.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
What a setting – perched on a narrow strip of land between clear Caribbean Sea and the Great Salt Pond. This Caribbean gem is all about choice. Stroll along the inland salt lake or head for the gorgeous city beach. Search the quaint clothes boutiques or browse for duty-free bargains. It's entirely up to you. Divided between two countries for over 350 years now, St. Martin/Sint Maarten is harmoniously shared by the French and the Dutch. The island has two distinctive flavours, with the quiet, sophisticated French north and lively, vibrant Dutch south.
Fort Amsterdam
Built in 1963, this elevated Dutch fort gives spectacular views from its position between Great Bay and Little Bay.
Front Street
This 1km Street houses some of the islands most impressive buildings, including the white wooden courthouse topped with a cupola, built in 1793, the quaint Methodist church built in 1851 and a group of elegant colonial houses, a small museum and two large marinas.
Philipsburg Zoo and Botanical Gardens
Housing more than 250 animals including six endangered species such as Bush Dogs, Golden Lion Tamarins and Scarlet Macaws.
