Mercury to the Hawaiian Islands Cruise

15 nights from San Diego, California, US
March 1530, 2009
Celebrity's Mercury
On March 15, 2009 we'll sail roundtrip from San Diego out to sea for fifteen days of fun, parties, dining and more on this classic ship! Our itinerary includes stops in Hilo, Kona, Honolulu, and an overnight stay in Maui! An excellent way to see all the beauty of the Hawaiian Islands from the comfort of your ship!
All this is yours while you are pampered with gracious service, gourmet dining, and numerous venues for entertainment on one of the newest and most up-to-date luxury cruise ships.
Celebrity's Mercury
This beautiful, luxurious new ship has all the warmth, charm, and distinction of classic ocean liners of a bygone era. However, she is up-to-date with all the latest high-tech features you could possibly desire. Each spacious, beautifully decorated stateroom contains a 20" Sony multifunctional, interactive television, direct-dial telephones and voice mail, thermostat-controlled air conditioning, private safe, mini-bar and 24-hour complimentary room service!
For those who may wonder if there's life on Mercury, we're here to tell you that there most definitely is. The newest of the Century-class of ships, Mercury is equally as impressive, and not just in terms of visual appeal, but also in the vast array of world-class amenities and services that she offers.
San Diego, California
In addition to being home to a world-class zoo and aquarium, San Diego is a laid-back navy town that is the closest U.S. city to Mexico. Great Mexican/American cuisine, Spanish-inspired architecture and what some consider the best weather in North America, make San Diego a destination unto itself.
Hilo, Hawaii
Located on the lush coast of the Big Island, Hilo is the capital city of Hawaii. Hilo is also where you'll find two of the most spectacular waterfalls in all of creation: Rainbow Falls in the south and the mammoth Akaka Falls in the north, which sends hundred of thousands of gallons of water plummeting over a volcanic cliff. Hilo is also home to Volcanoes National Park and the imposing Kilauea Volcano.
Kailua Kona, Hawaii
This was once the seat of power from which the great King Kamehameha ruled his island empire. Located on the picturesque Kona Coast, Kailua Kona is close to the marine sanctuary of Kealakekua Bay. This snorkeling haven is also home to the Captain Cook monument.
Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii
The cosmopolitan heart of the archipelago, Honolulu rises up from the lush Hawaiian flora like a beautiful white architectural rendering. Pearl Harbor, the Polynesian Cultural Center and lolani Palace, one of the only royal palaces on American soil, are but a few of the hundreds of attractions and points of interest available to the ambitious sightseer.
Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii
The most prominent feature in Maui is Haleakala, the world's largest dormant volcano, rising 10,000 feet above sea level. The term dormant applies only to the volcano, for on the lower slopes of Haleakala you'll find emerald meadows and flower farms: all accessible from the historic town of Lahaina. If you're fortunate enough to be here between the months of December and March, you could witness one of nature's great spectacles: the annual migration of humpback whales returning to their winter home.
Ensenada, Mexico
The Riviera Pacifica with the Bar of the Seven Sins is located here. It boasts a colorful past - it was once the playground of California gentry and stars of the silver screen. Festive shops, a main street and a former prison that now serves as an Aztec Museum are just some of the highlights of this Baja Peninsula favorite.
