Lisbon lesbian cruise

On the most famous and largest island, Tenerife you can visit the sometimes-snowy active volcano Mt. Teide, which has its own astronomical observatory and is part of Teide National Park.

On our way back we'll visit the island of Madeira, a haven of natural beauty and renowned for its exotic colourful flowers and the largest Laurisilva forest in the world.

Madeira lesbian cruise

Our final stop takes us to the beautiful and historic city of Lisbon. Our group will meet each day for meals; with evenings spent together either at one of our hosted events or at one of the ship’s entertainment events, all at your disposal. During the full days at sea you can join our representative for some fun activities on deck. For the remainder of your voyage the days will be taken up going ashore to explore the many sites on offer.

Whether you are travelling solo, a couple or friends travelling together there will be something for everyone.

It's your holiday though to do as you wish, therefore please feel free to dip in and out of our events and dining times, whatever fits in best with your day.

Canary Islands Lesbian Cruise on Magellan

Cruise & Maritime Voyages MS Magellan

Magellan boasts a spacious interior, with wide corridors and expansive wooden deck areas providing comfortable surroundings for guests. However, the ship still provides an intimate atmosphere, with a huge range of leisure facilities, including bars and lounges, as well as multiple dining options.

Providing a quintessentially British cruise experience to all its passengers, the Magellan ship is among the most well-known of Cruise & Maritime Voyages’ fleet. Highlights include its two high-quality restaurants, the Waldorf and the Kensington, the more relaxed Raffles Bistro, and an impressive array of whirlpools and swimming pools out on the deck.

Magellan ship whirlpool

A pub, a card room and a fully-stocked library are just a few examples of the many ways in which the Magellan cruise ship endeavours to make itself a home away from home for its 1,250 guests. Regardless of whether you are travelling, this beautiful vessel’s extensive facilities will always make you feel like you are in friendly and familiar surroundings once you get back on board.

Combining expansive, comfortable surroundings and friendly service with stylish entertainment and delicious cuisine, the Magellan cruise ship is the perfect choice for those looking for a greater range of on- board facilities. However, she still retains a feel of intimacy and personal attention when compared with the 'mega' resort style ships built today. No climbing walls or ice-skating rinks and no kids!

Magellan ship restaurant

Our maitre’d and his attentive waiting staff will welcome you to the elegant Waldorf or Kensington Restaurants where you can opt for a full English breakfast, savour a leisurely five-course lunch and enjoy a delightful dinner every day of your cruise. Whilst breakfasts and lunches are generally served in the restaurant on an open seating basis, two fixed time sittings are operated for dinner in the evening.

As a casual alternative, the light and airy Raffles Bistro is open every day for buffet style breakfast, lunches and dinner. Here informality is the key and you can feel free to drop in without any ceremony.

The Pool Deck lends itself particularly well to al fresco meals so a buffet breakfast or lunch from the Bistro can be served up with a complimentary ocean view!

Magellan ship theater

Why not settle down and enjoy wonderful panoramic ocean views from the comfortable lounge areas along the mall on the Magellan Deck, or relax in a secluded corner of the delightful Hamptons Lounge Bar where the head barman will soon get to know your favourite drink.

At the very heart of Magellan is the stylish Captain’s Club, a popular place to meet fellow passengers. To start your evening you might opt for a pre-dinner drink here and enjoy a few of your favourite melodies.

After dinner the show team would enjoy the pleasure of your company in the two-tier, Magellan theatre-style Show Lounge as our talented show team display their talents in a glittering ‘big-show’.

Enjoy more evening entertainment in Sinatra’s, the Captain’s Club and Hampton’s or enjoy a drink in the Taverner’s Pub.

Out On Deck
There are two outdoor swimming pools plus three whirlpools together with expansive deck areas for that daily exercise, relaxation and viewing or a romantic stroll before you decide to call it a night.

Daytime Activities
On a Cruise & Maritime Voyages holiday, our guests don’t need to wait until the sun goes down for the ship to come alive. Stroll around Magellan during the day and you will find all manner of exciting and relaxing activities to choose from, including beauty treatments, swimming and gym workouts.

Magellan ship bar

Wellness Centre
The beautifully appointed Wellness Centre is nature’s secret of well being on Magellan. It offers hairdressing & beauty treatments spanning across its state of the art treatment rooms, relaxation area, sauna and extensive menu of massage treatments. Why not indulge yourself with life’s most perfect gifts: relaxation, invigoration and rejuvenation. Treat yourself to a spa package and design your own special day.

Other Facilities
How about a few hands of cards in the Card Room? Or immerse yourself in a good book from the well-stocked Livingstone Library. For the more energetic, keep in shape with a out at the gym. Then, browse through the shopping galleria and photo gallery for a few memories to take home of your time on board Magellan.

Evening Entertainment
When it comes to after-dinner entertainment, you will be spoilt for choice on Magellan. As well as the traditional shows and cabaret you would expect to find on our ships, other evening entertainment options include classical music ensembles, card games and quizzes, along with performances by various specialty acts.

In the event of adverse weather/sea conditions that prevent the ship from calling at one of the scheduled ports, alternative arrangements will be made where possible.

Canary Islands lesbian cruise from London

Day 1 - London Tilbury, United Kingdom
The London Cruise Terminal at Tilbury, Essex is situated on the River Thames just 25 miles east of London. Approximate journey times in good traffic conditions from central London and London City Airport is one hour, from London Gatwick Airport and from London Stansted Airport is one hour fifteen minutes and from London Heathrow allow two hours.

Your Diva representative will meet you at the Cruise Port and get everyone checked in and to their cabins. There will be free time to explore the ship before we meet on deck as we set sail for the open waters. For those who have never cruised before it really is a lovely experience watching the ship leave port and head into open water.

Canary Islands lesbian cruise - Rotterdam, Netherlands

Day 2 - Rotterdam, Netherlands
Rotterdam is divided north and south by the River Nieuwe Maas with the city centre located on the northern bank of the River. Built mostly behind dykes, large parts of Rotterdam are below sea level. There is a whole host of attractions - a city of modern architecture and delightful culture. Over the centuries, Rotterdam has grown from a fishing village into an international centre of trade. From Rotterdam choose to take an optional tour to Delft & The Hague or the UNESCO World Heritage site Kinderdijk.

Canary Islands lesbian cruise - Gibraltar

Day 6 - Gibraltar
Famously contested, Gibraltar is a renowned headland in the Mediterranean Sea. In ancient times known as the Pillars of Hercules with it’s African counterpart, Mt Abyla, the Rock has remained under British rule for the last 300 years, despite being connected to Spain. A towering 1400 ft outcrop that separates the Mediterranean from the Atlantic, Gibraltar was named Jebel al-Tarik by the Moorish General Tarik who landed there in 711 AD. See the famous Barbary apes that occupy the island as well as St Michael’s Cave and the Siege Tunnels or admire the view to Africa from a cable car.

Canary Islands lesbian cruise - Lanzarote

Day 8 - Arrecife, Lanzarote (Spain)
A city with maritime roots, Arrecife first appeared on maps in the 15th century as a small fishing harbour. It has since 1852 been the capital of Lanzarote, the northernmost and fourth largest of Spain’s Canary Islands. Lanzarote, which lies just four degrees north of the Tropic of Cancer and enjoys a sub-tropical climate, is volcanic in origin. Arrecife’s Calle Leon y Castila has a wealth of shops and is an opportunity for duty free shopping.

Gran Canaria lesbian cruise

Day 9 - Las Palmas, Gran Canaria (Spain)
With its sub-tropical climate, coastal valleys, beautiful sandy beaches and mountainous peaks, Gran Canaria is a firm favourite with visitors from all over Europe. Head to the historic centre of Vegueta, steeped in traditional architecture and historical buildings which have been standing for over 500 years.

Canary Islands lesbian cruise - Tenerife

Day 10 - Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife (Spain)
The largest of the Canary Islands, Tenerife is dominated by Mount Teide in the central mountain range and several spectacular valleys covered with lush landscape, banana plantations and pinewoods. Santa Cruz, the island's capital, offers a number of museums, and churches to explore together with tempting shops and restaurants. The exotic gardens of Garcia Sanabria Park are worth a visit as is Loro Parque, with its tropical gardens, collection of parrots, and an aquarium with sharks, sealions and penguins.

Lesbian Madeira cruise

Day 11 - Funchal, Madeira (Portugal)
Set in a magnificent natural amphitheatre overlooking a wide bay, Funchal is the delightful capital of the beautiful and dramatic island of Madeira. The harbour is right in the centre of town and as you approach the sight of whitewashed buildings with red tiled roofs tumbling down the verdant mountain is spectacular. A modern cable car soars above the bustling city to Monte, which is the start of Madeira’s famous wicker toboggan ride. Wicker baskets, embroidery and the famous Madeira wine are popular souvenirs from the striking island often described as the ‘floating garden of the Atlantic’.

Lisbon lesbian cruise

Day 13 - Lisbon, Portugal
Lisbon, Portugal’s capital city, is home to the magnificent Jeronimos Monastery, Belem Tower, 25th April Bridge and Monument of the Discoveries. Wander through the maze of narrow streets in the delightful Alfama district and ride one of the famous old trams.
